How it works

From your address to a written proposal.

The estimate does the part a salesman usually does, in the open, where you can see it.

  1. About a minute

    You measure your roof

Type your premises address or business name and we find the building in aerial imagery. We measure the roof from its building outline: the area, and how much of it can sensibly carry panels.

For a mall, warehouse or factory the photo frame widens to take in the whole roof.

Aerial imagery can be a few years old, and coarser outside Lusaka. The site assessment confirms everything.

  2. Instant

We work out what the roof makes

Sun data for your exact location (EU JRC PVGIS) gives the energy the roof can produce in a year. You tell us your monthly spend on power and your tariff, prefilled from the ERB-approved ZESCO schedule and editable.

  3. Before we ask who you are

You see what that power is worth

The estimate shows the energy a year and what it is worth at your own tariff, in US dollars. No system price yet: that comes with the proposal, once the roof and your load are known. Leave your details and we email you the estimate as a PDF.

  4. A call within one working day

A site assessment, then a proposal

SolarCheck’s installation partner in Zambia visits to check the roof structure, your DB board, metering and how the business uses power through the day. You then get a written proposal: a pay-per-unit rate with nothing upfront, or a purchase price. No obligation.

What happens to your address

We use it to look up your roof. If you stop at the price, your address sits in our records only as an anonymous scan, and we never contact you.

If you ask for a quote, we keep your name, number, address and answers so we can call you and plan the visit. Nobody else gets them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. The details are in our privacy notice.
